9. Free Mori's birthday cake for mommy (why is it called 'free' mori? FOC? No i paid for this)

And here's what's going on 'lately'. Trying to enjoy 'summer' as much as possible since it will undoubtedly be short-lived (i.e. leaving Malaysia and flying somewhere else); spending hours finishing the can't-be-finished programme note and eating (my beach bod is hopeless) all the unhealthy amounts of cakes (healthy food impetus? I think not so). But the haze has totally destroyed everything. Kuala Lumpur is now being engulfed by smoke from the Sumatran fire - from the window, you can see nothing, just a grey-ish sky. I guess I'm having a paranoia that even I stay indoors, i can still smell the horrible smoke from outside. Yeah, hypersensitivity. And it's even worse when I see people having the air-conditioner on 24/7, exasperating the condition which is already deteriorating! I just want to take a deep breath - WITH CLEAN AIR.

P.S. any ideas for the coming up post? Food (i know you want to)? Outfits? Editorials? Vids? Send me an email or just say hi to me here - annexlicious@gmail.com :) Much love x

Dinner at Uneed Cafe @ Publika, Kuala Lumpur

Yesterday I arrived home after six hours of torment and excruciation of science classes. Mommy Liu finally had the time to enjoy a (cheat) meal with me and the rest of the fam after a long week (any excuse), so we hopped down to Uneed Cafe at the nearby mall, Publika for a little 'welcome-back' dinner.

I knew Papa Liu will approve of the place as it has a western-ish feel - the food, drinks, service etc. It just suits his taste well. And who doesn't love it?

I KNOW I DO

So while we're eagerly waiting for our food, and getting ready to munch all of it (uh oh), we spent a lovely (but short) ranting time.

And while we were chatting around, we (well, I) greedily scanned the menu for desserts and (I) had chosen two selections to potentially order later.

AND *drumrolls* - our food ......

 Chicken soup
We were first served with the appetizer - which all of us did not shared (cries)

 Tomato soup

The mushroom soup was a little too creamy for my taste but the tomato soup was just perfect!

Our entrée :

The white sauce, prawns, clams of the seafood fettuccine was incredible - but the pasta was not that soft as I wanted. However, overall was pretty good!

My grilled dory and salmon combo! Apart from being hating the fries, uh - no, I don't hate them but it's really because of the bikini season starts next week (oh my beach bod) and, let's be honest, nobody wants to be that girl walking in the street with baggy tees, no?

I JUST HAVE TO ADMIT - i love it! The dory, salmon, broccoli - but sorry fries #sorrybutnosorry

Papa Liu wasn't too happy with his rib eye steak with lemon grass. Way lower than his expectations, but he's happy with his root beer, though. (how i comforted him)

It's been a life-long lesson to learn how to resist oneself from being seduced from desserts, subtly erasing it from your lunch or dinner. But, tonight, no, let's party.

ANYWAY, after gobbling down our starters, frowning once again what to have for our desserts was never fun. But looking at the menu full of HD pictures of all kinds of heavenly desserts and feasting our eyes were one of the happiest moment in my whole lifetime. (who doesn't?)

I settled with my apple pie which surprised me - ohmygosh. Apple pie topped with vanilla ice cream WITH strawberries and WITH chocolate sauce. (mmhmmm)

Mom stayed honest to herself and admitted that she really wants an indulgence, so she ordered the 'bread and butter pudding' which she is willingly to share one bite with me (after arguing for ten minutes) OMNOM. No more. MORE?! None. All in the tummy.

Tomorrow I WILL SULK my way back into the swimming pool. Fingers crossed xx

When summer is around the corner

Felt really guilty (10/10) after being so lazy for two months or so, and now I'm kind of getting back on the track for blogging. (shh, you know this is so not true)

wearing: (top from Bossini HK, shorts from Applemint, shoes from Crocs)

It's all year summer in Malaysia, but the title seems to suit a little in Hong Kong. But i insisted in putting it as if i was dreaming i'm now in Hong Kong (food, lifestyle and stuff). Kinda of miss the temperature between 16-20 degree Celsius and my lovely grandparents and shopping and ice-cream (yes, HK has the best ice-cream, venue is filed under 'Secret' category) it's funny how we crave for summer in the winter, and crave winter during summer.

Have a great start for your summer!

Pile up my love for ......

\

Photos from Tumblr*

Love for MODELS! Quick and short inspiration post here because .... (thinking some reasonable reasons albeit the fact that I've none) I'm procrastinating so that I'd only need to do my Mandarin homework later lol. I love watching models walking the runway and falling down (just kiddin') My recent obsessions are Cara Delevingne (she's like the best and amazing and gorgeous and natural model in the world omg omg. She's so funky behind the scenes but so professional when walking the fashion shows!), Coco Rocha, Karolina Kurkova, Barbara Palvin(so pretty), Behati Prinsloo, Ji Hye Park, He Sui, Doutzen Kroes, Fei Fei Sun, Frida Guvtasson, Hillary Rhoda, Gisele Bundchen ...... To name a few here! I'm posting a new post tomorrow *fingers crossed* so stay tuned!
